The Media Library Management System provided reliable, high-quality, random-access playback of multimedia content in varied customer presentation environments and locations. Media assets such as videos, images, graphics, audio, and interactive applications were stored and maintained on a powerful Alex Libra media server. This allowed for the creation of a central repository of Nortel presentation and support materials which could be easily accessed and viewed on-demand locally or globally. Digitized media assets such as MPEG1 and MPEG 2 video segments were stored on a powerful media server and distributed over Nortel's fast Ethernet and ATM network infrastructure.
